Secure Freedom Minute: Joe Biden is AWOL on Cuban Missile Crisis 2.0

In 1962, the Soviet Union sought to turn Cuba into “a dagger” pointed at America’s heart. Today, a far more dangerous Communist enemy is attempting to do the same.

Sixty-one years ago, a Democratic president responded to the Cuban Missile Crisis by blockading the island and threatening to attack the Soviet ballistic missiles being installed there if they weren’t promptly removed. Today, Joe Biden is turning a blind eye to the rapidly evolving Chinese military build-up in Cuba and misleading the American people about the threat thus posed.

We need an urgent course-correction on the Chinese Communist Party. That requires, among much else, using the sorts of “unrestricted warfare” techniques the CCP has long wielded against us to roll back its various threats in our hemisphere while adopting here the sort of societal war-footing now in place in China.
