Secure Freedom Minute: Counter, Don‘t Enable, the Muslim Brotherhood‘s Stealth Jihad

The Biden administration is picking up where Barack Obama’s left off in disastrously embracing the Muslim Brotherhood and other Sharia-supremacists. As Sen. Ted Cruz established last week, Team Biden has secretly withheld $130 million in foreign aid to coerce the Egyptian government to release sixteen imprisoned Brotherhood-tied prisoners.

Rather than liberate such jihadists, the Texas Senator correctly believes the United States should designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. He recently reintroduced legislation to that end.

Senators could, moreover, take immediate action to counter the Brotherhood and its subversive influence operations. Two Biden officials, Barbara Leaf and Rashad Hussein, await Senate confirmation to senior diplomatic posts. Those nominations should be put on hold until serious questions about their ties to and/or sympathies for the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood and its subversive Sharia agenda are satisfactorily addressed.
